About This Document
This packet presents the formally ratified positions of The Joint Coalition — an anonymous collective
of total joint orthopaedic surgeons practicing within Kaiser Permanente Northern California.
Each position included here represents a democratic vote by coalition members that met or exceeded
the ratification threshold: a minimum of 30 participating voters with 70% or greater of them voting
in favor of the stated position. These positions represent our collective voice as surgeons —
not an individual complaint, but a documented, democratic mandate.
Ratification Standards
-
①
Proposals begin as internal drafts and proceed through Discussion → Voting stages before ratification is possible.
-
②
A minimum of 30 anonymous voters must participate in the vote. Scaled to the size of the NorCal Kaiser total-joint surgeon community.
-
③
At least 70% of those who voted must vote in favor for the position to qualify for ratification and public publication. Abstain votes count as participation but not as endorsement.
-
④
Sentiment polls are never included in this document — only formal proposal votes that meet the above standards are published here.
-
⑤
All votes are anonymous and independently verified by the platform. No individual vote records exist — only aggregate totals.
