What This Page Represents

This page is the public record of The Joint Coalition of NorCal Kaiser Total Joint Surgeons — an anonymous assembly of total joint orthopaedic surgeons practicing at Kaiser Permanente Northern California. It displays only positions that have been formally ratified through democratic vote.

Internal sentiment surveys, deliberations, and working documents are not published here. Only proposals that meet the following ratification thresholds appear on this page:

• ✓ Minimum participation: At least 30 members must vote before a position is eligible for ratification. Scaled to the size of the NorCal Kaiser total-joint surgeon community rather than a fixed share of total membership.
• ✓ Minimum consensus: At least 70% of those who voted must vote Ratify. Abstain votes count as participation but not as endorsement.
• ✓ Immutability: Once ratified, a position is a permanent part of this record.

Why Anonymity Is Used

The coalition employs anonymous participation to ensure all members — regardless of career stage, institutional role, or contractual circumstances — can contribute candidly and without constraint.

Technical note: No names, credentials, or identifying information are collected or stored. Votes are recorded only as aggregate totals — individual choices are never retained. Even the coalition's administrator cannot identify any member.
